Celebrate life… weight loss and nutrition coaching

My Celebrate Life programme focuses on both healthy eating and active training to help you get in the best shape of your life – so that you can live a fuller, longer, more active life!

Is this you?

Your GP uses words like ‘very overweight’ or ‘obese’ …chances are, you have been overweight for most of your life and you gave up on being anything other than ‘fat’ a long time ago.

Nothing works when it comes to losing weight; you have tried just about every diet, bought the DVD’s and joined the gym but still, you get bigger every year.

You know that some people feel sorry for you, they say ‘you have a beautiful face’ or ‘lovely hair’ but you don’t even look in the mirror any more. You hate how you look. You hate yourself.

Sound familiar?

Sadly, I hear words like this from too many people. People who are not lazy or weak-willed but often very capable individuals who have been let down by our food and diet industries, the fitness industry and dare I say, even our health care professionals.

It has taken a long time to get where you are today and you have a lifetime of habits, beliefs and routines but you know you must change. Now you are ready, willing and able to do so.

If any of this resonates with you, I know I can help!

Imagine a life where you…

  • feel physically and mentally strong, and capable of taking on any challenge without worrying that your energy levels or body weight will get in the way.
  • can run around with your kids or grandkids without feeling pain, winded or tired …and you can do it all again the next day.
  • look forward to having your picture taken without wondering “who’s that person, and when did I start looking like that?”
  • feel like food is your friend not your enemy and never diet again.

I have helped women and men like you achieve significant transformations in their bodies, their health, and their lives. After more than 40 years of working with real people to achieve incredible results, I have the winning formula.
My healthy eating and active training (HEAT) method does more than just teach you how to exercise and eat better… I don’t prescribe short-term diets, meal plans, or ‘food rules’. Instead, I’ll help you make important changes to your eating and

exercise habits; I’ll help you build the lasting skills and habits necessary to look and feel better; and I’ll give you the tools to stay that way… no matter what’s going on around you. At last, you’ll overcome challenges that have stopped you for years and get in the best shape of your life.

Get the support you deserve and learn how to:

  • eat better without dieting or feeling deprived
  • get active no matter what shape you’re in now
  • ditch the food rules, dropping the fad diets and conflicting advice
  • build fitness into your life without it taking over
  • build healthy habits that last a lifetime
  • achieve and maintain your goals, even when life feels unpredictable.

I’ll remove the guesswork and provide the accountability, direction and support, as well as practical advice and a positive outlook. Everything you need to succeed!

Are you ready to become the fittest, strongest, healthiest version of yourself?
Let’s have a conversation…

Celebrate Life – your healthy eating and active training programme

home consultation

Home consultation

It all starts with a conversation at home – or if you prefer, a relaxed walk in the park – to discuss what exactly you want to achieve; how soon you need to start and finish; who or what will help or hinder your efforts; and how much you are able to and are prepared to invest, in terms of your time, money and energy.

To help me understand your lifestyle habits and any potential health risks, there are some forms to fill in, but mostly, it’s a chat all about you, your likes, your dislikes, and your priorities.

I may suggest some easy dietary changes that you can make immediately, and I’ll show you two or three suitable exercises that you can do right away, on your own.

health check

Fitness assessment

I will ask you to stand barefoot on my biometric scales for a simple and non-invasive set of measurements. The data collected comprises of height, weight and age, BMI, body fat percentage, muscle mass, bone mass, hydration levels, visceral fat readings, and metabolic age.

The results provide us with a snapshot of your current physical health and fitness levels. This ‘baseline’ measurement is a starting point used for future comparison.

Fitness assessments are conducted at regular intervals, so that we can monitor (and celebrate) your progress and ensure the effectiveness of your training – adjusting your programme where necessary to ensure that you are getting consistent positive results.

programme-for-success

Programme for success

It’s time to formulate your fitness training programme. Clearly defined goals and definitions of success are to be agreed and a programme schedule set.

I’ll provide you with a detailed report: reiterating key points of our discussion regarding your lifestyle, commitments and goals;  identifying any health and wellbeing issues or areas of concern; and my recommendations for strategies and interventions concerning your exercise requirements and any dietary considerations.

In addition I’ll give you an overview of your personal exercise programme, illustrating the progressions and milestones we’re working towards on the way to achieving your goals.

fun-to-get-fit

Your ‘fun-to-get-fit’ timetable

I believe that fitness training for adults is what playtime is for kids and I want exercise to be fun and rewarding for you, therefore the more I know about you, the better equipped I am to find the right form of exercise most likely to get the best results for you.

My priority for exercise is to get you doing something, almost anything, to get you moving, and to get you doing it most days of the week. So we’ll need to find out what you like, what you are willing and able to do and then get you doing it!

1-2-1 training sessions are once a week, with a choice of 12, 24, 36 or 48 weeks of ‘progressive exercise’. In between 1-2-1 sessions, I’ll provide you with an easy-to-follow weekly exercise programme.

progressive-exercise

Progressive exercise

Progressive exercise means we start at a suitable level for you, gradually increasing the intensity and time spent with each session.

1-2-1 fitness training sessions are conducted at your home and/or outdoors (it’s your choice). Training may include cardiovascular exercises such as walking, nordic walking, jogging, running or cycling; and for strength and endurance you’ll be doing free-weights, abs exercises, circuits, body weight exercises and a heap of plyometric exercises. We’ll even have a go at some High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) – when you are ready!

It’s really not as daunting as you might think. Take a peek at some of my video’s where you’ll see some of my real clients in action.

healthy-eating

Healthy eating

We need to consider how you’re fuelling your body, particularly if you have a little weight to lose – let’s call it toning!

Change does not happen overnight …let’s face it, it has taken your lifetime to get to where you are now, so give yourself a chance. Your body reflects what you put into it (food, recovery) and what you take out of it (activity, stress), and truth be told, exercise alone may not do it all, so dietary changes also need to be considered.

I don’t prescribe short-term diets, calorie counting, meal plans or ‘food rules’ …just healthy eating practices, using nutritious whole foods and produce that you can buy in your local shops and supermarkets. You won’t be left feeling hungry or deprived!

Online nutrition coaching

Your easy-to-use online coaching platform is accessible from any digital device. Receive your 50-week online syllabus and read, watch or listen to daily lessons.

You’ll have access to a wealth of information, education and advice for choosing and preparing healthy nutritious foods that add value to your body… foods that make you feel energised and wide awake!

We’ll look closely at your eating habits and your feelings and beliefs about food, to ensure they help rather than hinder you; and you’ll learn how lack of sleep, conditions at work, personal relationships and family worries affect your digestive system and body chemistry, and how healthy eating can positively impact your overall wellbeing.

small-changes

Small changes

Big goals are broken down into small daily practices so that you develop healthy habits that become second nature. The focus is on doing one thing at a time, being mindful of how that one thing affects body and mind, and doing it well before moving on.

For example; our aim over the duration of the nutrition programme of 50 weeks, is to make a 1% improvement every week, rather than trying to change everything in a few short weeks.

Being consistent with your learning and practicing ‘healthy eating and active training’ every day – rather than alternating wildly between rigid, uncontrolled or chaotic – is the key to your success.

ongoing support

Ongoing support

As your coach, I will support you every step of the way. Together we will discover what works best for you by trying out new things and making decisions based on data and close observation of yourself, not ’rules’ or someone else’s ideas.

Fitness training is an ongoing process, and I will work with you for as long or as short a time as needed. We’ll measure your results and your progress on an ongoing basis, and adapt your training (if necessary) to keep you on track. I’ll remove the guesswork and provide the accountability, direction and support, as well as practical friendly advice and a positive outlook. Everything you need to succeed!

results-based

Your results

  • Lose the weight/fat you haven’t been able to shed for years.
  • Build physical strength and confidence in your body.
  • Gain mental confidence, no longer hiding your gifts and talents.

Improve your health, gain energy, and lose weight using proven strategies,
which will help you get (and keep) the body you want.

I recommend Peter if you want to lose weight quickly and safely – I only wish I’d done this a year ago! Being overweight is something I’ve had to live with for a long time and I have to admit I was sceptical. I’ve now lost 2 stone and feel so much better. It’s been hard but worth it and Peter has been there to check on me every week and keep me on track. I put my business partner in touch with him and he has since lost 1 stone too.

Emerson Patton
Peter provided me with some serious focus into my fitness regime and with his help I started to complete some weight training as well. I have since lost 7 stone or 45kg in weight and have gone from a 3XL shirt to XL.

Mark Richardson
Peter is a personable, punctual and professional service provider, who takes a holistic approach to his clients – not just looking at the physical or fitness aspects, but also nutritional aspects, mental well-being and overall lifestyle choices. Thoroughly recommended.
