Serenity Courage and Wisdom

I’m rather familiar with alcohol, I confess at times, a little too familiar and this month, when I have chosen abstinence concerning alcohol, I am reminded of these few lines about Serenity Courage and Wisdom often associated with Alcoholics Anonymous.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

Courage to change the things I can,

And wisdom to know the difference

Those words also resonate in so many different scenarios don’t they? Let’s take Health & Fitness. For example:

It seems almost inevitable that our over burdened NHS is going to struggle to cope with demand of a growing and ageing population.

So what should you do? Take out an insurance policy, hope that things will get better and otherwise abdicate all responsibility?

Or do you have the courage to accept that your own fate is actually down to the actions you take now?

By identifying and putting into action small changes to improve your diet, add regular and enjoyable exercise, keep your mind and body active and to experience joy in your life.

Just a thought!
